What You’ll Need

• 8 Ritz crackers

• 16 mini Ritz crackers

• 3 tablespoons cream cheese

• 4 black olives, halved

• 16 peppercorns or candy pearls

How to Make Polar Bear Crackers

1. Spread a layer of cream cheese onto each Ritz cracker.

2. Place two mini Ritz crackers at the top of each cracker to create the polar bear’s ears.

3. Add half of a black olive in the center to make the nose.

4. Place two peppercorns or candy pearls above the nose for the eyes.

5. Arrange on a plate and serve immediately.

A Fun Winter Activity

These little polar bears are fun to make with kids because there is plenty of room for helping hands. Younger children can spread the cream cheese and place the ears, while older kids can assemble the faces.

They also pair nicely with a winter-themed reading afternoon, a snow day snack board, or an Arctic animal study.

Easy Variations

• Use small pieces of black licorice instead of olives for the nose.

• Swap candy pearls for mini chocolate chips.

• Add a few pretzel sticks nearby to create a snowy snack scene.
